There has been news about Sam Raimi, the Spider-Man film trilogy fame, to convert the classic game Blizzard's World of Warcraft account into a motion picture. According to Paul Sams, COO Blizzard Entertainment Sam Raimi is the sole choice for the movie direction as the game makes share their vision with legendary pictures and have made some explorations to choose the director who can envision the World of Warcraft on the big screen. Going by Paul’s words, Sam was the first choices post their conversation on the movie direction. Sam has famed from many blockbusters including writing and directing The Evil Dead and producing the hit 30 Days Of Night. The five time academy award nominee’s recent supernatural horror Drag Me To Hell has been an instant hit. The movie was written and directed by Raimi. Raimi’s perception of the World of Warcraft is that it is a fantastic action-packed story. Moreover, he is thrilled that in his endeavor to bring this project to life, he has an explosive creative team. Accompanying Raimi on the project is The Dark Knight producer, Charles Roven. This has added more to Raimi’s excitement on the project with such a blockbuster crew to get life to the wow accounts, World of Warcraft project. Adding more force to this team is Chris Metzen, Blizzard's senior VP of creative development who would be a co-producer to Saimi and Robert Tapert, Saimi’s partner. "Sam knows how to simultaneously satisfy the enthusiasts and the mainstream audience that might be experiencing that content for the first time," says Blizzard's Paul Sams. "We’re looking forward to working with him to achieve that here."
