MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK - GOLD, SILVER AND COPPER

ORFG Last Traded Price: $0.13

Three of the hottest metals in terms of price and demand are gold, silver and copper. Current reports indicate that this trend is likely to continue.

Although copper demand had fallen off due to the economic slump worldwide, demand is starting to rise.

Rather than buying these metals as commodities, savvy investors can invest in a company that intends to mine all three of these metals in Columbia.

Orofino Gold Corp. has plans to mine gold along with silver and copper at properties it has acquired in Columbia, the new hot spot for gold mining. Orofino Gold believes that the area it will be mining will result in more than a million ounces of gold and large amounts of silver and copper as well.

Orofino will now implement an airborne magnetometer program, as well as begin site preparation for the diamond drilling planned to take place in the second quarter of 2010.

Gold has a lot of uses besides as a currency, or medium of exchange, Gold is used for rings, watches, and necklaces, its main use is mostly jewelry, but gold leaf is used in some foods, gold also is used in a lot of high end electronics because it is a good conductor.

Gold is useful in making ornaments, decorative linings and in electrical contacts for better conductivity. Gold could also be used with TV’s, phones, and many other items. If the company is right, this could be a homerun for investors.

tck TCK, Teck Resources Limited

TCK is a diversified resource company committed to responsible mining and mineral development with major business units focused on copper, metallurgical coal, zinc and energy.

** TCK reported that work continues at the Greenhills mine’s coal dryer building. The investigation into the cause of the accident that occurred on June 28 continues with review of the data and evidence although no conclusion has been reached yet.

The building has now been made safe for entry, and the mechanical inspection of the building has concluded that most of the exhaust side of the dryer system will need to be replaced.

An engineering firm has been contracted and is on site as project manager for the rebuild, and they are currently establishing a scope of work and timeline for the rebuild. The current plan is to activate the bypass system around the dryer which will allow the company to produce and ship wet coal for blending with dry coal from other mines. Power is currently being established to the bypass system so the mechanical integrity and operational control of this system can be determined.

Greenhills has been shipping raw coal to Fording River since July 2, 2010. The combined impacts of shipping raw coal from Greenhills to Fording for processing and shipping wet coal from Greenhills will significantly reduce the impact on production.

At this point TCK does not have an update on production guidance for the year until the timing associated with the various steps is better defined.
