New Delhi, December 13, 2010: Franchise India 2010, the 8th edition of Asia’s Biggest Franchise & Retail exhibition features Franchise Awards 2010 & Star Retailer Awards 2010 as the synchronized event being held on 12th December 2010. The awards night was a splendid show boasting the attendance of the biggest and the most reputed names in the franchise and retail industry. The breathtaking event was hosted by Shruti Seth along with grand performance by the famous singer, Jasbir Jassi and dance performance by Russian troupe. Delhi Darbar’ also performed at the award show. Like every year, the corporate social responsibility initiative of Franchise India this year dwells on ‘Creating Responsible Neighborhoods’. Aiming at taking local business to locally oriented business, the message is driven to the corporate world for sustainable economic growth. The night also sees the launch of Franchise India 2010 Calendar which depicts the cause creatively through each of its leave. Franchise India Awards 2010 and Star Retailer Awards are the most credible and prestigious recognitions in the industry since last 8 years. Taking the commitments forward, the awards this year acknowledged the best performances in the industry in various categories. Taking the lead was ‘The Franchisor of the Year’ that went to Raymond Limited and the Remax India the ‘The Master Franchise Award’. On the other side, Star Retail Awards 2010 which were tabulated by Earnst & Young, Madura Fashion and Lifestyle Ltd was awarded as the ‘Fashion Retailer of the Year’ for their outstanding work in the segment. ‘The Food and Grocery Retailer of the Year’ award went to Food Bazaar and the ‘Department Store of the Year’ went to Shoppers Shop Limited in the Retail categories.
